Hi, I’m Carine.

THE OFFICIAL STORY

I’m an entrepreneur, go-to-market expert, speaker and writer. I am CEO and Co-Founder at Origin, physical therapy designed for women and mothers.

Most recently, I led sales and marketing at Amino, a digital health company that guides individuals to higher quality, lower cost care. Prior to Amino, I worked in 3D printing as VP of Marketing at Shapeways and also helped found MarketspaceNext, a boutique digital strategy firm we spun out of Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte). I teach strategy & marketing at General Assembly and manage a community of startup growth leaders.

I’m a nonprofit advisor, passionate about diversity, economic equality, and the ethics of technology and business.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, I’ve conducted research on science, technology, and economic trends for The Milken Institute and Center for Bioethics at Penn.

THE UNOFFICIAL STORY

Ever heard of the Enneagram? I'm a Type 7: "extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous...constantly seek new and exciting experiences, but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go."

In practice: my best days are jam-packed. I eat non-fiction for breakfast and novels for dinner. I love art and design, running but not races. I write to think, and I hate that 5 minutes of daily meditation feel like 5 hours.

I believe in 360 feedback and smile therapy. I strongly believe in nuance, but know that complex ideas need simplifying if you want anyone to care.

* Jk, don't call me Ishmael. Carine works just fine.
